​Founded in 2015 by Alex Boucher, The Car Kitchen is a custom fabrication shop built on a lifelong passion for cars, motorsport, and mechanical craftsmanship. With over 20 years of hands-on experience, we specialize in high-quality metal fabrication and advanced cylinder head work for performance vehicles — from street builds to full-on race cars.

Worlds Quickest + Fastest Volkswagen 1.8T
Our most recent record setting cylinder head that we’ve developed is for the world’s fastest and quickest Volkswagen 1.8T engine over the 1/4 mile, owned by Ben Mace. Built to handle extreme power and engineered for maximum airflow and reliability, this cylinder head has played a key role in setting the benchmark for 1.8T drag racing performance.
The UK's Quickest 4 cylinder Door slammer
We’re proud to have built the full drag-spec cylinder head for the UK’s quickest 4-cylinder doorslammer, The Fraudster, owned by Kev Jenkins. Racing in the highly competitive Comp Eliminator class, this car features advanced engineering and precise tuning to dominate the strip—smashing times and raising the bar for 4-cylinder drag racing in the UK.
The UK's Quickest pro import Doorslammer
Another project we’ve been heavily involved in is what’s set to become the UK’s quickest Pro Import, owned by Jacey Grant and powered by one of our full drag race spec 2JZ cylinder heads. This car is the result of expert engineering, serious power, and race-proven components—built to take on and break 1/4 mile records at the highest level of competition.
